ABOUT US - SAINT GEORGE REALTY

Karen M. Rizkalla, Realtor, Broker & Owner of Saint George Realty has lived in Midcoast Maine for many  years.  Not quite a native but well rooted in a deep appreciation of the Town of St. George, villages of Tenants Harbor, Martinsville and Port Clyde plus Midcoast towns of South Thomaston, Thomaston, Owls Head, vibrant Rockland & Camden. Karen worked for 15 years selling real estate at St. George Realty in Tenants Harbor Maine with her mother, Irene C. Rizkalla whose Midcoast Maine real estate career spanned 36 years, 17 of those as the highly successful founder of St. George Realty in Tenants Harbor, Maine.   Irene's husband and Karen's father George K. Rizkalla, a gracious man and a great barber for 60 years, joined St. George Realty in 2014 after earning his real estate license at age 79.  George also continued his 48 year proprietorship of George's Barber Shop in Maine until October, 2019.  Sadly, George passed away at age 84 in January of 2020, surrounded by his family.   After much consideration over the past few years, Irene decided to retire in March of 2020.  The original St. George Realty business as well as the St. George Realty logo designed as a gift from Don McLain, Tenants Harbor Maine artist and friend have been retired as well.

Karen spent hours, not only researching the historic value of my mother's home, but homes of the same caliper in the neighborhood as  well. She was well versed in the designs of John Calvin Stevens, and was able to show the house in a knowledgeable manner. Karen was extremely professional in her suggestions of how best to show the house, offering suggestions, tips and ideas. She ended up acting as a dual agent for sellers and buyers and was extremely professional as well as sensitive to both parties.   My second property that Karen sold was our private summer cottage situated on the shores of the Damariscotta river. Karen researched the other cottages on deep water frontage of this river as well as ocean properties, and properties on other rivers.
